About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead delivery of multiple complex engineering, construction, procurement, and regulatory projects within a wider programme environment
  • Manage teams of Project Managers, including prioritisation, resource allocation, and delivery performance
  • Drive project controls across schedule, budget, risk, quality, and stakeholder management
  • Report progress, mitigate issues, and embed continuous improvement across projects and ways of working
  • Support delivery of critical programme outcomes
  • Report to a Programme Manager
  • Shape successful delivery of projects underpinning development of a new nuclear power station
  • Undertake occasional travel to support project and stakeholder delivery activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in engineering, science, project management, or a related discipline, and/or significant experience delivering large, complex projects and programmes
  • Project management qualification such as APM PMQ or equivalent, or demonstrable experience leading major engineering projects
  • Experience managing multiple work packages, budgets, risks, and senior stakeholder relationships within complex delivery environments
  • Knowledge of project management tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, SAP, Excel, Power BI, or Power Apps
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively
  • Willingness to regularly attend a Rolls-Royce SMR location in Manchester, Warrington, or Derby
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for project and stakeholder delivery activities
  • Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance
  • Satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Satisfactory basic financial probity check
