About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead delivery of multiple complex engineering, construction, procurement, and regulatory projects within a wider programme environment
Manage teams of Project Managers, including prioritisation, resource allocation, and delivery performance
Drive project controls across schedule, budget, risk, quality, and stakeholder management
Report progress, mitigate issues, and embed continuous improvement across projects and ways of working
Support delivery of critical programme outcomes
Report to a Programme Manager
Support project and stakeholder delivery activities through occasional travel
Contribute to major programme decisions and delivery of clean energy infrastructure

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in engineering, science, project management, or a related discipline, and/or significant experience delivering large, complex projects and programmes
Project management qualification such as APM PMQ or equivalent, or demonstrable experience leading major engineering projects
Experience managing multiple work packages, budgets, risks, and senior stakeholder relationships within complex delivery environments
Knowledge of project management tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, SAP, Excel, Power BI, or Power Apps
Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively
Ability to lead high-performing teams in a complex environment
Ability to regularly attend a Rolls-Royce SMR location as required
Willingness to travel occasionally for project and stakeholder delivery activities
Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance
Satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
Satisfactory basic financial probity check
