About the role
- Prepare, review, and submit billing accurately and on time
- Verify client eligibility and benefits before services are provided
- Track accounts receivable and follow up on unpaid or denied claims
- Resolve billing issues, discrepancies, and denials in a timely manner
- Stay current on billing requirements and payer guidelines
- Work closely with program and administrative staff to ensure documentation supports billing
- Generate reports on billing activity, collections, and outstanding balances
- Ensure compliance with all applicable billing regulations and standards
- Support audits by gathering and providing necessary documentation
- Maintain strict confidentiality of client and financial information
Requirements
- At least 5 years of billing experience
- Solid understanding of billing processes and accounts receivable
- Experience with billing systems or electronic platforms
- Ability to work independently and stay organized in a remote setting
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
