About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support system-level integration of vehicle features across ECUs, software baselines, and hardware releases
  • Validate wake, sleep, reset, and power transition behaviors across desk-based, lab-bench/HIL, and in-vehicle environments
  • Verify software behaviors in physical vehicles and identify gaps between hardware performance and design specifications
  • Prepare and bring up controllers, next-generation platforms, and networked systems for integration milestones
  • Coordinate and track new features and system changes through release readiness
  • Investigate test findings, track dependencies, and document technical issues to drive integration-gap closure
  • Execute edge-case and degraded-mode testing
  • Conduct first-line triage and system-level investigations on benches, HIL environments, development vehicles, and in manufacturing
  • Debug distributed vehicle interactions using logs, network traces, and ECU-level data
  • Execute integration test plans covering functional behavior, sequencing, timing, fault handling, and regression risk
  • Document root causes, isolate failures to software or hardware domains, and track corrective actions
  • Maintain Python scripts, automated test workflows, and analysis methods for log validation and issue triage
  • Improve system observability and contribute to integration processes, documentation standards, and release-readiness practices
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, validation, manufacturing, and diagnostics teams as an engineering point of contact

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in automotive systems integration, embedded systems, validation, or a closely related discipline
  • Strong understanding of embedded software development lifecycles (SDLC) and vehicle functions within automotive E/E architectures
  • Hands-on experience debugging vehicle systems with CANoe, CANalyzer, Wireshark, or equivalent trace and analysis tools
  • Direct experience with CAN, LIN, or Automotive Ethernet and basic ECU-level interactions
  • Experience executing test cases and validating features across bench, HIL, or physical vehicle environments
  • Ability to use Python for log parsing and basic test scripting, or similar data analysis tools such as MATLAB
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to gather relevant logs and drive structured troubleshooting from ambiguous vehicle behavior to root cause
  • Preferred: experience testing vehicle power modes, wake/sleep behavior, low-voltage power management, or related vehicle state control systems
  • Preferred: familiarity with HIL simulation, ECU simulation, or vehicle-level validation workflows
  • Preferred: familiarity with modern zonal or domain-based E/E architectures
  • Preferred: basic knowledge of UDS diagnostics or manufacturing vehicle bring-up activities
  • Preferred: experience in a fast-paced automotive environment with multiple global teams
  • Preferred: basic understanding of ISO 26262 Functional Safety concepts
  • Must comply with applicable citizenship and immigration-status laws
