About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Research/identify potential grant opportunities that align with Ritter Center's mission.
- Develop and write compelling grant proposals, letters of intent, and reports in collaboration with program staff and the Chief Development Officer.
- Manage the entire grant process, including tracking deadlines, submission, and follow-up.
- Maintain a comprehensive calendar of grant deadlines and reporting requirements.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with grant-making organizations and foundations.
- Partner with finance and other staff to gather requisite data for proposals and reports.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all grant requirements and deliverables.
- Track and report on the status of all private grant applications and awards and any government reporting deadlines as requested.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in grant writing, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
- Proven track record of successful grant proposals and budget development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software.
- Per OSHA requirements, employment at Ritter Center requires producing a negative TB test prior to the start of employment, as well as being vaccinated against COVID-19 (unless applying for an exemption).
