About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

lead the design and implementation of data systems with both web and database components
analyze and maintain existing databases and web interfaces
add new features to operational systems
implement signal processing and other algorithms with efficient software
test with real data
provide applications to front-line customer facilities
create effective user interfaces and data visualization tools
stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and methodologies and experiment with new technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into RRC projects
work across all functional areas: systems engineering, development, integration and test, deployment and O&M

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
Minimum 8 years' experience in full-stack application development
Experience building scalable web applications using modern frontend and backend technologies
Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling
Proficient in modern software engineering practices for testability and readability
Proficient in C++ and Python in LINUX environments
JavaScript, CSS, HTML
Demonstrated ability to design software systems to ensure they achieve functionality, performance, scalability, and maintainability requirements
Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance
US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks including Vue, React, Angular (Preferred)
Advanced SQL query optimization (Preferred)
Database performance tuning (Preferred)
Stored procedures, indexing, and schema design (Preferred)
DevOps and Cloud computing Experience (Gitlab, CI/CD, CVE mitigations, Docker, Kubernetes, PIP) (Preferred)
Agile development processes (Preferred)
Ability to mentor other engineers and provide technical advice to project leaders (Preferred)
Current TS/SCI clearance (Preferred)
