About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Complete design assignments related to building upgrades, maintenance, restoration, and rehabilitation of existing structures, as well as building envelope components for new construction projects.
Investigate and diagnose failures in existing building envelope systems and develop effective repair solutions.
Conduct constructability reviews and third-party peer reviews of plans, specifications, and construction documents.
Manage building envelope projects and multidisciplinary teams for both new and existing construction, ensuring quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) throughout project delivery.
Perform failure investigations and condition assessments of commercial and residential buildings and provide litigation support when required.
Research building histories, applicable codes, and regulatory requirements, including historical and current code provisions.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
Prepare technical reports, condition assessments, repair designs, bid documents, specifications, addenda, change orders, and related construction documentation.
Conduct site visits, field observations, and construction phase services.
Develop, maintain, and strengthen client relationships through exceptional service and technical expertise.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Building envelope design
- Building envelope investigations
- Construction document preparation
- Construction administration services
- Building construction project management
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
Strong report writing skills and demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, scopes, and schedules.
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients, contractors, architects, engineers, and internal teams.
Strong critical thinking and sound professional judgment.
