About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Make high-volume outbound calls to investigate, bill, and maximize payments on medical claims to insurance companies on behalf of hospitals and medical providers
  • Investigate and research auto-accident details to determine the payer
  • Contact patients, insurance company representatives, and attorneys through outbound calls
  • Submit bills and proper documentation to insurance companies
  • Determine follow-up steps and resubmit incorrectly paid bills for additional payment
  • Contribute to denial reports, audits, and overall team support
  • Maintain productivity and performance metrics in a high-volume call-center environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Technical proficiency working across multiple computer screens and software applications simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain strong performance in a fast-paced, high-outbound-call-center environment with productivity metrics
  • Ability to remain organized while multitasking
  • Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Clear verbal and written communication
  • Experience with Coordination of Benefits and general understanding of insurance billing are a plus, but not required
  • Private, distraction-free home work environment
  • On-camera presence during work
  • Secure internet connection
  • Home internet speeds greater than 20 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload
