About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Basic medical and ophthalmic history intake
- Visual acuity assessment
- Intraocular pressure measurement with Tonometer
- Administration of dilating and anesthetic eye drops
- Preparing patients for imaging and physician exam
- Prepping patients for ophthalmic procedures, including intraocular injections
- Advanced positions involving electronic medical record scribing and clinical trials
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience as an ophthalmic technician, photographer, and/or scribe
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, attention to detail, and communication skills
- Experience working in a Retina clinic
- Scribes with experience using MD Intellysys (Nextech EMR)
- COA or COT certification
- Bilingual (Spanish and English)
- Ability to work at any of our 5 locations (Poway, La Jolla, Carlsbad, Hillcrest, Coronado)
