About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Basic medical and ophthalmic history intake
Visual acuity assessment
Intraocular pressure measurement with Tonometer
Administration of dilating and anesthetic eye drops

Prepping patients for ophthalmic procedures, including intraocular injections

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience as an ophthalmic technician, photographer, and/or scribe
High school diploma or GED
Strong work ethic, professionalism, attention to detail, and communication skills
Experience working in a Retina clinic
Scribes with experience using MD Intellysys (Nextech EMR)
COA or COT certification
Bilingual (Spanish and English)
Ability to work at any of our 5 locations (Poway, La Jolla, Carlsbad, Hillcrest, Coronado)
