About the role
- Define, oversee, and govern multiple concurrent client projects of high complexity and strategic importance;
- Establish and implement best practices, frameworks, and governance models for project delivery
- Develop and manage integrated project roadmaps across workstreams;
- Manage project timelines and resources effectively to ensure project delivery within defined parameters
- Drive adoption of standardized processes, tools, and templates across engagements
- Proactively manage project risks and issues, identifying opportunities for efficiency, and develop and implement appropriate mitigation, escalation, and automation plans
- Direct the execution of enterprise-scale technology and software implementation programs;
- Ensure organizational resources are aligned to business and client priorities
- Anticipate and mitigate risks and dependencies that could impact delivery or business outcomes;
- Lead issue resolution at project level, removing barriers to progress
- Monitor and control budgets, timelines, and scope, ensuring alignment to client strategy and contractual agreements;
- Ensure delivery of outcomes that meet or exceed client expectations and quality standards
- Track, analyze, and report project metrics for leadership and client executives
- Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, aligning project delivery with business goals, demonstrating an understanding of clients' unique business goals and activity
- Manage escalations with diplomacy and a solution-oriented approach
- Provide transparent, executive-level reporting and communication on project status;
- Collaborate with clients to reprioritize or realign work as business needs evolve
- Encourage knowledge sharing, training, and professional development across delivery teams;
- Model effective stakeholder management and problem-solving approaches
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field
- 10+ years of relevant experience in software implementations or program/project management within IT/software delivery environments
- Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance experience preferred; PMP certification preferred
- Knowledge of policy administration, claims management, and vendor solutions (Insurity, Majesco, Guidewire, Duck Creek, etc.)
- Proficiency in MS Project and project management tools
- Expertise in project management methodologies (traditional and agile)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to tailor messages to executive audiences
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence without direct authority.
