About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead end-to-end proposal development activities, including kickoff, scheduling, compliance management, content development, color team reviews, and final delivery.
Develop and execute win strategies aligned to business goals, increasing overall probability of win (Pwin).
Analyze and interpret solicitation documents (RFPs, RFIs, SOWs, PWS, CDRLs) to ensure compliance and inform proposal approach.
Partner with capture managers and leadership to shape competitive positioning and differentiated solutions.
Manage and coordinate cross-functional proposal teams, including writers, SMEs, technical contributors, pricing, and graphics.
Facilitate color team reviews and drive iterative improvements based on structured feedback.
Enhance proposal operations by refining templates, tools, and standard processes.
Ensure all submissions meet compliance standards, quality expectations, and strict deadlines.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
5+ years of experience managing federal proposals, with the DoD (Navy experience strongly preferred.)
Demonstrated success leading large, complex, and competitive proposal efforts.
Proven track record of managing and winning proposals valued at $50M+.
Experience supporting multi-award contracts and GWACs.
Strong knowledge of federal acquisition regulations, proposal compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat.
Exceptional leadership, writing, editing, and communication skills.
Ability to influence stakeholders and lead teams under tight deadlines.
Highly organized with strong time management and planning capabilities; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time as business needs arise.
