About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create test case scenarios to improve test coverage using C# and .NET
- Design, build, and maintain UI, API, integration, and performance/load automation frameworks
- Develop and execute automated test suites for functional and non-functional requirements
- Develop test strategies for REST API migrations from legacy SOAP/WCF services
- Perform end-to-end API workflow testing, including authentication and authorization
- Validate OpenAPI/Swagger specifications against API implementations
- Test REST-to-SOAP/WCF adapter layers and backward compatibility during migrations
- Validate file-based interface translations and cross-system data integrity
- Perform regression testing on SCM and card-related functionality
- Conduct integration testing with internal and external systems, including Presidio IVR
- Validate OAuth 2.0 and MFA implementations
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines
- Design and run load and performance tests to validate resilience and scalability
- Create and maintain tools for test data generation, mocking, dependency control, and observability
- Collaborate with development teams on testability, shift-left practices, TDD, and clean code architecture
- Participate in application and test-code reviews
- Mentor engineers and QA team members in automation practices
- Instrument tests and systems for observability and monitoring
- Maintain automation for containerized and cloud environments
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of experience in software test automation, SDET, or development roles
- Strong programming skills in C#/.NET or a similar object-oriented language
- Experience creating test-case scenarios using C# and .NET
- Hands-on experience building UI automation frameworks with Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright
- Hands-on experience building API automation with Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI, or similar tools
- Strong understanding of REST, SOAP, and WCF protocols
- Experience testing integrations between modern and legacy services
- Experience testing OAuth 2.0 authentication flows and familiarity with MFA implementations
- Knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger specifications, API documentation, and contract validation
- Experience with NUnit, MSTest, or xUnit
- Hands-on experience with JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Experience participating in code reviews and providing feedback on test coverage and quality
- Nice to have: background in cards, payments, fintech, health tech, or regulated industries
- Nice to have: debugging distributed systems
- Nice to have: adapter-layer, file-based interface, and backward-compatibility testing
- Nice to have: Presidio IVR integration testing
- Nice to have: Application Insights, Datadog, or Splunk
- Nice to have: mentoring developers and QA engineers in automation practices
- Ability to work CST hours, 9:00 to 5:00PM
