About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a hospice setting
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team dedicated to comfort, dignity, and quality of life
- Provide music therapy services in accordance with hospice care plans
- Promote comfort, emotional support, relaxation, and overall quality of life for patients and families
- Educate and support patients and caregivers through therapeutic music interventions
- Respond to emotional and comfort needs throughout the end-of-life journey
- Work independently while traveling to patient homes within the assigned territory
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Music Therapy degree
- Current Board Certified (MT-BC) credential according to the U.S. Certification Board for Music Therapists
- State music therapy licensing where required
- At least six (6) months of work/education experience with geriatric health care
- At least six (6) months of work/education experience with end-of-life/terminal illness health care
- Current driver’s license
- Ability to spend approximately 20% of the day driving to/from patient locations
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen prior to employment
