About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a hospice setting
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team dedicated to comfort, dignity, and quality of life
Provide music therapy services in accordance with hospice care plans
Promote comfort, emotional support, relaxation, and overall quality of life for patients and families
Educate and support patients and caregivers through therapeutic music interventions
Respond to emotional and comfort needs throughout the end-of-life journey
Work independently while traveling to patient homes within the assigned territory

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor of Music Therapy degree
Current Board Certified (MT-BC) credential according to the U.S. Certification Board for Music Therapists
State music therapy licensing where required
At least six (6) months of work/education experience with geriatric health care
At least six (6) months of work/education experience with end-of-life/terminal illness health care
Current driver’s license
Ability to spend approximately 20% of the day driving to/from patient locations
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Successful completion of a drug screen prior to employment
