About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the development of feasibility assessments for nature restoration and conservation projects
  • Undertake ecosystem service modelling to estimate the expected benefits of proposed interventions across carbon, biodiversity, water, and soil
  • Contribute to the design and adaptation of methodologies used to quantify environmental outcomes
  • Translate technical outputs into clear insights and recommendations that inform project design and investment decisions
  • Assist in the development of project documentation required for Payment for Ecosystem Services schemes and other environmental market mechanisms
  • Apply an understanding of UK environmental policy and emerging market mechanisms to inform project development and client advice
  • Contribute to a range of advisory and consultancy projects
  • Support the preparation of tenders, reports, and client deliverables

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (ecology, environmental economics, environmental science, conservation biology, or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of the principles of experimental design and environmental survey methodologies including carbon, biodiversity, soil, and water
  • Proven ability to manage partnerships in a conservation, environmental, or research context
  • Excellent written communication skills, with experience producing technical or scientific documents for non-specialist audiences
  • Willingness and ability to spend short periods away from home, including in remote locations, primarily in the UK
  • Postgraduate degree (MSc or PhD) in a relevant discipline (desirable)
  • Knowledge of natural capital markets and green finance mechanisms (desirable)
  • Project management experience (desirable)
  • Budget management experience (desirable)
  • Experience working with or alongside local communities (desirable)
  • Conference presentations or other public science communication (desirable)
