About the role

  • Provide technical expertise and hands-on development for the gameplay team.
  • Design, implement, and maintain gameplay systems for both single-player and multiplayer experiences.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable gameplay code, including improvements to pre-existing systems.
  • Debug and resolve issues across gameplay systems to ensure stability, performance, and player experience.
  • Review and approve technical designs and code from the team, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
  • Ensure the gameplay team delivers features on time and to high-quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in gameplay systems development.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to align on gameplay delivery and quality.
  • Mentor and support team members, fostering growth and a high-performing engineering culture.
  • Take initiative in solving complex gameplay challenges and deliver authentic, engaging, world-class player experiences.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior or Principal Gameplay Programmer on shipped PC or console titles.
  • Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, mathematics, and performance optimization.
  • Experience in C++ and a solid understanding of software architecture principles.
  • Experience conducting technical reviews and upholding engineering standards.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence across disciplines.
  • Analytical and solution-oriented approach to complex technical challenges.
  • Clear and thoughtful communication skills in English (written and spoken).
