About the role

  • You will study Design Engineering (Bachelor of Engineering) while simultaneously completing an IHK vocational training as a Product Designer (m/f/d).
  • The dual study program is offered in cooperation between RENK, the IHK Hannover (Chamber of Industry and Commerce) and Hochschule Hannover.
  • The dual program lasts a total of 3.5 years (7 semesters). During the first 4 semesters you will complete parallel technical vocational training; from the 5th semester onward you will switch to full-time study, concluding in the 7th semester with a bachelor’s thesis.

Requirements

  • A-levels (Abitur), university of applied sciences entrance qualification (Fachhochschulreife) or an equivalent qualification recognized through the Open University of Lower Saxony (Offene Hochschule Niedersachsen, OHN)
  • Strong grades in mathematics, physics and technical subjects
  • Interest in technical systems, products and operational processes
  • High motivation to learn and work
  • Team spirit, commitment and initiative
  • Good German language skills
