About the role
- Prepare and revise engineering drawings, schematics, logic diagrams, and block diagrams
- Work in close collaboration with engineers, designers, and mechanical personnel
- Use a broad knowledge of mechanical and electrical devices, engineering mathematics, and manufacturing methods
- Develop equipment and accessory fabrication and assembly drawings
- Perform engineering design work in interpreting general designs prepared by others
- Complete technical drawings using 2D & 3D CAD
- Check drawings for compliance to engineering requirements
- Provide guidance on resolving technical issues
- Coordinate drafting resources on program projects
- Develop and manage drafting processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) training in Graphics Arts, Industrial Design or Engineering Design
- 5 + years of directly related experience in mechanical drawing, computer-aided design, and illustrative design or commercial art experience
- 2+ years' experience with AutoCAD v l4 or later
- 2 + years' experience preparing and revising drawings, schematics, logic diagrams, and block diagrams
- Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
