About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identifies and cultivates relationships with wholesale partners to promote life or annuity insurance products.
  • Provides detailed knowledge of life or annuity insurance products, including features, benefits, and competitive advantages, to wholesale partners.
  • Solicits business from existing agents and cultivates relationships with new agents.
  • Delivers training sessions, marketing materials, and ongoing support to brokers and advisors.
  • Develops strategies to penetrate new markets and increase distribution through wholesale channels.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with brokers and agencies.
  • Tracks and analyzes sales performance, providing regular reports and insights to leadership.
  • Manages the underwriting process from application to policy issuance.
  • Collaborates with case managers to ensure smooth handling of cases.
  • Provides post-sale support including policy changes, beneficiary updates, and in-force policy management.
  • Stays up to date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and new product developments.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • A Life and Health License from state of domicile is required and must be maintained.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience in life or annuity insurance sales, preferably within wholesale or brokerage channels.
  • Strong knowledge of life or annuity insurance products, underwriting processes, and industry standards and trends.
  • Strategic thinker with strong negotiation, influencing and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Must have a customer-centric approach with the proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sales-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
