About the role
- Advise on compliance with data privacy and cybersecurity laws
- Review and negotiate contracts related to data processing
- Conduct legal risk assessments
- Support internal audits and regulatory examinations
- Collaborate with IT and business teams on data-related initiatives
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- 6+ years of legal experience focusing on data privacy and cybersecurity law
- Must be licensed to practice law in the US
- Certifications: CISSP, CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, CISA preferred
- Experience with US and global regulations (GLBA, HIPAA, CCPA, GDPR, etc.)
- Strong documentation skills
- Experience in financial services, insurance, or technology sectors preferred
