About the role
- Spearhead end-to-end design and architecture of predictive models for reinsurance sector
- Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship to actuaries
- Oversee cross-functional projects requiring collaboration across diverse groups
- Act as a catalyst for innovation in modeling techniques and technologies
- Develop and enforce best practices for data analysis and model development
- Build partnerships with senior business leaders to drive data-driven solutions
- Apply deep subject matter expertise in life and health reinsurance to inform predictive models
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or related field
- FSA Accreditation
- 7+ years of actuarial experience
- Expert-level knowledge of traditional actuarial analysis, including multivariate analysis, experience studies, pricing, and valuation.
- Deep, hands-on expertise in programming languages such as Python and R for data analysis.
- Highly proficient in SQL for complex data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Experience deploying scalable models in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and Databricks.
- Proven ability to approach complex problems with creativity and rigor.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams.
