💰 $65,000 - $85,000 per year

About the role

  • Support the design, modification, and commissioning of power system protection and automation schemes
  • Assist in developing substation protection schemes and specifying relays for redundant protection systems
  • Prepare basic engineering drawings, sketches, and documentation under guidance
  • Assist in calculating and programming substation protective relay set points
  • Support commissioning activities by providing field assistance and documentation
  • Learn and apply industry standards and internal design procedures
  • Maintain organized project files and records
  • Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and utility personnel to support project execution
  • Participate in training and mentorship programs to develop technical skills
  • All other duties assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for field commissioning near energized equipment
  • 0–2 years of engineering experience in electric utility or power systems
  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) (nice-to-have)
  • Internship or prior related experience (nice-to-have)
  • CAD experience (nice-to-have)
