About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- prepare and manage cost segregation studies for clients with diverse real estate holdings
- coordinate and collect information from clients and internal professionals relating to these studies
- costing of all components of architectural, site, mechanical and electrical construction
- willingness to travel in and out of state, up to 30% and comfortable with occasional overnight travel for site inspections
- learn and maintain technical expertise in this specialty tax area
- build relationships internally to foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration
- providing a “wow” experience to every client
- contributing to the success of clients’ organizations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of relevant cost segregation experience in public accounting or industry
- strong understanding of building construction principles
- proficient in Microsoft software including Excel and Word
- possess a working knowledge on RS Means and Marshall & Swift estimating guides
- bachelor's degree in accounting, construction management, architecture, or engineering
- able to read blueprints and construction drawings
- ability to communicate effectively with client personnel and other Rehmann professionals
- knowledge of the federal income tax depreciation aspects would be desired
