About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Greet and check-in patients when they arrive to the office.
- Have patient complete required forms, obtains necessary signatures, and accurately enter the patient information for registration.
- Ensure all insurance, personal, and health information is obtained and verified prior to each patient's appointment.
- Maintain daily scheduling of patient appointments, and collaborate with therapists and Clinic Director to accommodate patient/therapist needs.
- Respond to heavy volume of incoming calls for appointments and other requests.
- Collect patient co-payments, deductibles, and prior balances.
- Explain payment policy/billing procedures and financial responsibility to patients.
- Prepare and properly file patient forms.
- Balance daily monies and receipts, and ensure accuracy of fee tickets and batch summaries.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Superb customer service & communication skills
- Attention to detail, organization & prioritization
- Efficient time management, particularly in high pressure scenarios, while maintaining professionalism and composure
- Simple math skills using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Familiarity with MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams
- Ability to grasp computer systems quickly
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Two or more years of medical office experience - Physical Therapy Clinic or Medical Office Management are a plus.
