About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Apply human genetics to target discovery, indication selection, and identification of patient subgroups likely to respond to treatment
Design, execute, and interpret genetics studies alongside human genetics scientists, bioinformaticians, and statistical geneticists
Partner with Therapeutic Area Genetics colleagues and RGC teams to deliver complex, high-quality scientific work
Generate, summarize, and present findings to internal and external audiences
Lead or contribute to scientific reports and publications
Represent the TAG team in cross-functional initiatives across RGC and Regeneron
Collaborate with external industry and academic partners in scientific consortia

Requirements

What you’ll need

MD or MD/PhD with a strong background in human genetics or genetic epidemiology
Experience designing and leading human genetics studies that deliver medically relevant findings
Knowledge of study designs and analyses such as GWAS, exome, or genome sequencing across cohort, case-control, or family-based studies
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex genetic findings to varied audiences
Familiarity with statistical genetics applications (e.g., polygenic risk scores, quantitative trait analyses, Mendelian randomization) and programming/statistical software (e.g., Python, R) preferred
Experience integrating genetics with other 'omics' technologies (e.g., epigenetics, proteomics, RNA-seq) preferred
