About the role
- Orchestrate overall strategy for national account customers coordinating internal stakeholders (brand teams, medical affairs, sales, CSOP, operations)
- Accountable for wholesalers, distributors, specialty pharmacy, PBM owned specialty and mail order pharmacies, GPOs, and other national account channels
- Achieve Regeneron’s sales and product market access objectives within national account channels/segments
- Represent oncology and ophthalmology franchise and future products as applicable
- Engage internal resources for account-specific issues and challenges
- Lead and influence team and internal organization; manage performance and skill development of direct reports
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with C-Suite and senior management at customers
- Lead negotiation, coordinate and manage project implementation with customers to support brand strategies
- Present business cases including enterprise impact
- Inform dispensing and distribution TA/brand strategies with channel/customer insights
- Ensure performance metrics are included in account plans and reported across organization
- Present, negotiate and execute performance contracts with trade channels supporting supply and access goals
- Present clinical information within company policy and product prescribing information
- Enforce contract terms with national account customers and analyze contract performance
- Monitor pricing regulations and third party reimbursement policies; review alternative classes of trade
- Partner with cross-functional partners (CSOP, Sales, Operations, Brands) to achieve business objectives
- Represent Regeneron at key conferences and vendor functions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, advanced business or science degree desirable
- 10+ years relevant industry experience
- Prior experience leading a team and managing performance and development of direct reports
- Ability to develop and maintain strong business partnerships with C-Suite and influence leaders in senior management within National Accounts
- Understanding of the entire national account segment/channels including payor, trade distribution network, and specialty pharmacy providers
- Knowledge of payer environments including PBM and payer owned pharmacies
- Proficiency with software applications and customer relationship management tools (Veeva CRM)
- In-depth knowledge of Regeneron product prescribing information
- Well-developed negotiating skills
- A high level of awareness and understanding of the implications and opportunities of contract strategy
- Thorough understanding of Market Access support and services
- Overnight travel of 50% may be required
