About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

This contract position will work with the Traffic Office and the Technology Services Division’s (TSD) Application Modernization Team under the Enterprise Applications Modernization team to modernize the TSMS application to a cloud-first web application.
This contract position serves as an Application Developer, working independently and with others to analyze, design, develop, and test a new TSMS application for CLIENT.
The duties include application development, database design, data schema mapping, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and problem resolution in an iterative and interactive style of development.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field and/or 4+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience developing applications
4+ years of experience developing applications using C#, ASP.NET, MVC architecture pattern, and Entity Framework
4+ years of experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, Reporting Services
Experience using JavaScript, HTML, CSS
Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio IDE
Experience using/knowledge of Azure DevOps including source control, code review, build and release pipelines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
