About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and maintain complex financial models for renewable energy assets and portfolios.
  • Support live transactions and bring insights to all types of investment decisions through detailed valuation, scenario analysis, and sensitivity modelling.
  • Analyse and stress-test key assumptions including wholesale power prices, generation volumes, CAPEX/OPEX, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Develop and manage debt sizing, return analysis, and capital structure modeling.
  • Review, challenge, and improve third-party models provided by advisers, banks, and partners.
  • Contribute to the standardisation and continuous improvement of internal modeling frameworks and best-practice templates.
  • Produce clear, high-quality outputs to support Investment Committee papers and senior decision-making.
  • Mentor junior team members on the different transactions and topics as needed.
  • Act as a business partner translating technical and financial analysis to business insights and investment recommendations and assisting various teams into negotiations.
  • Work closely with development, M&A, structured finance, energy management, and asset management teams.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4 to 7 years of experience in project finance, infrastructure finance, corporate finance, or transaction modeling.
  • A background in a top-tier advisory/investment environment (Big 4, investment bank, boutique infrastructure advisory, specialist modeling firm) and ideally within another IPP.
  • A proven ability to build complex financial models from scratch (not just adapt templates).
  • A strong experience in renewable energy modeling, ideally including solar PV, battery storage and/or wind projects.
  • An exposure to battery energy storage systems (BESS) is a strong advantage, including financial modeling of such activities.
  • Strong Excel skills with a focus on best-practice modeling standards (auditability, structure, checks, scenarios, sensitivities).
  • An ability to review and enhance external models from advisers, lenders, and JV partners.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical modeling outputs into clear commercial insights in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • A collaborative, low-ego team player comfortable working across multicultural teams in Europe.
  • A motivated by platform growth and open to evolving into broader investment roles over time.
  • Fluent in English and the language of the country you're working in for this role.
