About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define UX strategy and experience architecture across multiple Presence initiatives
  • Shape foundational experiences across identity, profiles, community representation, Reddit Pro, and emerging product areas
  • Turn ambiguous opportunities into clear product direction, scalable frameworks, and compelling experiences
  • Use AI-assisted design and coding tools to create functional prototypes and accelerate decisions
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Research, Content Design, and senior leaders to influence product direction
  • Bring teams together around shared principles, trade-offs, and a longer-term vision
  • Raise the bar for interaction design, information architecture, accessibility, and reusable design patterns
  • Mentor designers and help evolve the team’s approach to systems thinking, craft, and AI-native design

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8 to 10+ years of product design experience, including complex, cross-functional work in consumer technology
  • Strong systems thinking and experience designing platform-level or reusable product experiences
  • Exceptional interaction design, information architecture, and product strategy skills
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and balancing long-term vision with near-term execution
  • Track record of influencing senior stakeholders and aligning teams without direct authority
  • Strong storytelling, facilitation, and communication skills
  • Experience using AI-assisted design or coding tools to explore, prototype, and communicate ideas
  • Portfolio demonstrating Staff-level thinking, strong craft, and meaningful product or organizational impact
