About the role
- Reddit's Ads Business Engineering team delivers technical expertise and solutions that empower technology partners, agencies, and advertisers to seamlessly integrate with Reddit’s advertising platform.
- The Staff-level role combines deep technical consulting with hands-on engineering to guide strategic integrations across Reddit’s stack and partner environments.
- You’ll work across engineering, product, sales, and business development to connect Reddit’s capabilities to evolving market needs.
- Responsibilities include acting as trusted advisor, designing proofs of concept, architecting multi-system integrations, leading onboarding and testing, and shaping go-to-market strategies.
- You’ll define reusable technical patterns, documentation, and tooling to improve developer experience and support escalations for complex integrations.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of software development experience, with a strong track record of owning end-to-end technical projects, including cross-org coordination.
- Demonstrated experience architecting solutions that span systems or teams, ideally in advertising, data platforms, or large-scale integrations.
- Hands-on coding expertise in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, Node.js), with a focus on backend or API development.
- Proven ability to contribute directly to external integrations and prototype in partner environments.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, OAuth2/OpenID Connect, and modern SDK patterns.
- Effective communicator with experience presenting complex technical and business ideas to both internal leadership and external stakeholders.
