About the role
- Own the global strategy and execution of the LOA and Workplace Accommodation programs
- Evaluate, refine, and scale policies and processes to ensure consistency, compliance, and operational excellence across countries and regions
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments globally to ensure proactive compliance
- Collaborate closely with Legal, HR Business Partners, Payroll, Equity, as well as local experience teams to champion wellness and implement process improvements
- Partner with vendors and third-party administrators to ensure high-quality case management and support services
- Advocate for the best employee experience possible during employee leaves and accommodations and act as a senior point of escalation for complex or high-risk cases
- Partner with cross-functional teams to build manager training, engagement and proactive leave resources
- Develop and track key metrics to assess program performance, compliance, and employee satisfaction and provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership
- Build and implement dashboards for up-to-date data and self-serve resources
- Work cross-functionally developing policies aligned to Reddit’s risks, compliance, regulatory, and legal obligations and review/implement country specific handbook updates
- Drive change initiatives and communication strategies related to leave and accommodation updates and educate managers and employees on program resources and responsibilities
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of experience managing LOA and/or accommodation programs, preferably at a global scale
- Strong knowledge of global leave laws (including federal and state laws in the US and international laws such as FMLA, ADA, CFRA, WAPFML, PFL, GDPR, etc.) and accommodation requirements
- Proven experience in program management and scaling processes in high-growth or matrixed environments
- Demonstrated ability to work independently at a senior level and influence without authority
- Exceptional judgment, discretion, and ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working with leave tracking HRIS systems (Workday preferred) and leave vendor management platforms (Sparrow, Unum, Disclo etc)
- Preferred: Professional certifications (e.g., CEBS, CPDM, SHRM-SCP, ADA Coordinator Certification)
- Preferred: Previous experience within HRBP function
- Preferred: Familiar with the Disability Management Employer Coalition (DMEC) Network
- Preferred: Prior experience designing equitable leave programs supporting diverse and international populations
- Preferred: Workday familiarity
