Advise Reddit’s consumer product teams through all stages of product development on how to navigate potential legal risks.
Analyze new and existing regulations that are relevant to Reddit’s consumer products, and work with product teams to translate legal requirements into product requirements and implement those requirements.
Serve as a strategic partner to help product and business teams anticipate and plan for future regulatory requirements.
Develop strong cross-functional relationships and deep product and industry knowledge.
Requirements
Law degree (JD, LLB, LLM, etc.). You are licensed in the United States, and ideally you have legal experience in multiple jurisdictions.
5+ years of legal experience, with 3+ years of in-house experience at a consumer tech company.
Global experience working on B2C search, publisher and/or user generated content issues.
Strong background advising marketing and brand protection initiatives on online platforms, including managing copyright, trademark, and rights of publicity at scale.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent judgment and analytical skills.
Ability to assess risk strategically and help clients manage risk while achieving their goals.
Program/project management skills, including the ability to handle and prioritize high impact and complex multiple projects.
Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with product, engineering, and other cross-functional teams.
