About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Report directly to the Dive Center Manager and support smooth, efficient dive center operations
- Lead certified divers on guided dives from the asset
- Assist instructors with PADI-standard dive courses
- Support development and operational readiness of dive centers across other assets when required
- Prepare dive boats and teaching environments daily
- Assist with cylinder filling and equipment handling
- Maintain a clean, professional dive center appearance
- Support retail and dive-related sales activities as a Galaxea brand ambassador
- Collaborate with Sustainability and SEZ teams on environmental and marine protection requirements
- Support development, setup, commissioning, and operational phasing of the dive center
- Maintain knowledge of dive sites, conditions, entry and exit procedures, and environmental sensitivities
- Maintain high safety standards and ensure compliant underwater tourism activities
- Maintain accurate records of dive activities, training, and certifications
- Build positive relationships with colleagues, management, guests, and external stakeholders
- Contribute to continuous improvement of dive center operations, systems, and practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active and renewed PADI Divemaster certification
- Minimum 250 logged dives across various geographic locations
- Strong knowledge of PADI courses and standards
- Proven background in dive center operations and dive retail
- Hospitality and guest service experience
- Diving health and safety experience
- Equipment handling and basic maintenance knowledge
- Marine conservation awareness
- Valid Fit-to-Dive medical
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong communication and public-speaking skills
- Ability to deliver engaging and safe guided dive experiences
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Ability to manage guest requests and complaints professionally
- Comfortable working with high-end clientele and multicultural teams
- Strong safety awareness and role-model behavior
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with sound judgment
- High standards of confidentiality and professionalism
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Interest in marine science, conservation, and education
- Ability to deliver high-quality briefings and debriefings
- Ability to support dive center administration and planning
- Additional languages desirable, Arabic preferred
- PADI DSD Leader rating desirable
- Renewed EFR Instructor certification desirable
- Social media and content creation skills desirable
- Underwater photography and videography desirable
- Marine life identification skills desirable
- Workshop technician experience across equipment brands desirable
- Valid powerboat license desirable
