About the role

  • Under the general direction of the Sr. Director of Product Management, the Associate Product Manager provides subject matter expertise, market intelligence and product planning support to maximize incremental revenue, adoption, and customer satisfaction for GPO product offerings.
  • Works in a cross business and technology team environment, tracks and identifies relevant market trends, researches customer needs, and supports opportunities for innovation growth and expansion.
  • Assists in the development of high-quality commercialization tools; materials include value propositions, RFP language, pricing and implementation guides/plans.
  • Collaborates with Sales, Launch, Implementation, and Operations to communicate messaging and enable successful product adoption.
  • Supports the infusion of service line capabilities into business operations across GPO by conducting UAT, staff training, troubleshooting, adoption planning/execution, and ongoing support.
  • Gathers the voice of customers to determine business-case and feasibility of enhancements to existing products/services.
  • Manages product/service backlog and Jira stories to drive the overall product road-map.
  • Assists with managing service line-related vendors involved in operation of assigned service line capabilities.
  • Gathers key performance metrics for relevant products to monitor success and identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in a business or healthcare-related field preferred and four (4) years of equivalent healthcare related experience.
  • Strong Product Development Life Cycle knowledge/experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Operational program experience or experience in a position that provides support to operational program processes for at least one year.
  • Ability to think strategically, applying business insight/acumen and demonstrating critical thought in a complex business environment.
  • Ability to construct a business case that illustrates opportunity and risk accurately based on information available.
  • Demonstrated effective professional communication (written and verbal), presentation skills and training skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and consistently meet deadlines; identify additional resource needs as necessary.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting with minimal direction/ supervision.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts and translate to operational processes.
  • Ability to understand operational processes and evaluate technical solutions.
  • Demonstrated success leading projects and being a member of project teams.
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to learn and implement new concepts/skills with minimal lead time.
  • Ability to complete research in a thorough, thoughtful, and comprehensive way that demonstrates understanding and provides strategic insight.
  • Ability to conceptualize and validate new products and/or product strategies.
  • Ability to demonstrate a basic understanding of budgets, productivity, and other business concepts.
