About the role
- Executes the procurement strategy process and oversees local sourcing execution.\n
- Leads internal and external analyses (industry and supplier) as part of cross-functional sourcing teams.\n
- Develops procurement strategies and ensures alignment with internal customers.\n
- Supports supplier selection and provides recommendations for final decisions.\n
- Conducts fact-based negotiations with suppliers.\n
- Ensures stakeholder and business alignment with approvals as required.\n
- Ensures knowledge transfer by organizing and storing project deliverables, tools, and templates.\n
- Establishes measures and controls to track successful implementation, aligned with KPIs.\n
- Executes regional and global category strategies locally, including contract implementation and compliance.\n
- Collaborates with Category Managers to ensure local acceptance of new contracts and processes.\n
- Coordinates contract implementation tasks with local users.\n
- Monitors internal contract compliance and takes corrective actions when necessary, in coordination with Category Managers and local leadership.\n
- Supports supplier classification, categorization, and evaluation policies.\n
- Tracks supplier performance and supports supplier development activities.\n
- Organizes cross-functional review meetings with suppliers to improve performance and reduce costs.\n
- Conducts audits and identifies opportunities for contract improvements or re-negotiations.\n
- Gathers feedback from internal customers on procurement processes and supplier performance.\n
- Conducts periodic customer surveys to drive continuous improvement.\n
- Collaborates with internal customers to identify cost reduction opportunities.\n
- Reinforces the procurement team's profile and recognition within the organization.\n
- Supports the business with sourcing for major, unplanned ad hoc demands.\n
- Maintains control over high-spend areas by leveraging deep sourcing and category expertise.\n
- Manages, develops, and coaches direct reports, ensuring their performance and growth within the organization.\n
- Willing to travel both domestically and internationally , as required
Requirements
- Relatable professional experience in indirect procurement categories and working within a matrixed stakeholder environment.\n
- 3PL and/or air freight preferred.\n
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in either supply chain management, business administration or finance.\n
- Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience supervising, coaching, and leading a team.\n
- Advanced professional certification in procurement preferred.
