About the role
- Develop category strategies for Air Freight, including sourcing strategy, value engineering, and stakeholder management\n
- Act as the resident expert in strategic procurement for the Air Freight category, aligning with World Courier's global/local teams\n
- Lead fact-based negotiations with suppliers and secure leadership approvals\n
- Analyze category spend baselines, profiles, and risk assessments; track value delivery\n
- Ensure compliance with governance processes and contract management; coordinate cross-functional initiatives\n
- Travel across markets as required; fully remote within the United States
Requirements
- Transferable experience in managing a logistics/transportation commodity strategy and operational outputs of logistics/air freight\n
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain or finance\n
- Minimum of five (5) years of strategic procurement, spend analytics and category management experience; preferably seven (7) years in Indirect Procurement\n
- Experience with cross-functional problem-solving teams; strong business acumen and communication skills\n
- Proficiency with data analytics and indirect procurement systems; MS Word/PowerPoint/Excel
