About the role
- Provide strategic financial leadership.
- Ensure robust risk management and maintain strong financial controls to support World Courier’s strategic objectives.
- Lead and manage all financial and accounting operations for Australia and New Zealand.
- Develop and implement a Finance and Administration Strategic Plan.
- Oversee the budgeting process and monitor and control costs.
- Manage monthly and annual financial reporting, statutory reporting, and management accounting.
- Ensure compliance with all financial and business-related legislative requirements.
- Oversee internal and external audits.
- Manage cash flow, banking requirements, and cash management processes.
- Maintain healthy accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
- Lead, mentor, and support the finance team to achieve departmental objectives.
Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent professional training.
- A minimum of 8 years of leadership experience in a finance-related role, including team management.
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a multinational or complex business environment.
- Strong leadership abilities with a self-driven, proactive approach to mentoring and team development in a collaborative manner.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal and numerical abilities.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Exceptional analytical skills and a results-driven mindset.
