About the role

  • Drive sales growth, manage key accounts, and foster strong customer relationships within an assigned territory of secondary customers
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and optimize channel access for Cencora products and solutions
  • Serve as a trusted resource and consultative advisor to customers, leveraging Cencora’s portfolio to deliver value-driven solutions
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with customers and retain and grow accounts through proactive engagement and regular business reviews
  • Partner with internal teams including sales, marketing, operations, and account management to deliver a seamless customer experience
  • Collaborate with shared health system account owners to execute growth goals and align customer strategies
  • Work closely with supply chain and product teams to ensure inventory availability and support product launches
  • Analyze customer trends, account performance, and competitive intelligence to inform sales strategies
  • Maintain customer data integrity in CRM systems and provide regular updates to leadership on progress toward goals
  • Achieve individual sales and performance goals including revenue growth, customer retention, and portfolio expansion
  • Meet and exceed key performance metrics including call productivity, sales growth targets, and competitive data reporting
  • Continuously improve knowledge of Cencora’s portfolio, industry trends, and customer needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, ideally in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze data and anticipate customer needs
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to influence and negotiate effectively
  • Effective organizational and time-management skills
  • High proficiency with CRM tools and business development technologies
  • Demonstrated success in growing sales revenue through targeted customer engagement and a consultative sales approach
  • Experience in identifying and cultivating new business opportunities within existing accounts
  • Proven ability to collaborate across internal teams
  • In-depth knowledge of Cencora’s product portfolio, customer classes of trade, and channel access strategies is a plus
  • Occasional travel required for customer visits, conferences, and internal sales meetings
