About the role
- Manage the execution, reporting, analysis and interpretation of specific data used in managing Cencora customers and the business
- Work cross functionally and through collaboration with the Health Systems (HS) and Community and Specialty Pharmacy (CSP) segment leaders responsible for the requirements, design, development, and execution of the customer reporting strategy
- Lead, mentor, and coach a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and bioinformaticians
- Foster a culture of growth including innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning
- Align team goals with organizational strategy and priorities
- Drive the design and deployment of AI/ML and GenAI solutions for data enhancements, trial optimization, precision medicine and real-world evidence generation
- Oversee development of predictive models, generative tools, and decision-support systems using structured and unstructured biomedical data
- Matrixed collaboration with product leaders, engineering and sales teams to translate prototypes into scalable products
- Develop innovative AI/ML solutions for customer reporting requests for all segments as well as corporate and regional requests
- Apply deep knowledge of oncology, biomarkers (genomic, proteomic, imaging, etc.) to inform model development and scientific strategy
- Partner to integrate data science into building enhanced products and expanded support for partner teams
- Engage with cross-functional stakeholders including provider, medical affairs, commercial, and external partners
- Present findings and strategies to executive leadership and scientific groups
- Represent the company at scientific conferences and industry forums
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Completion of a four year Bachelor's Degree Program (requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations)
- Normally requires a minimum of six (6) years directly related and progressively responsible experience
- Understands retail trends and operating assumptions
- Proven track record of leading large, integrated sales to large customers
- Demonstrated history of operating as a business manager
- Superior analytical skills relative to financial modeling; fluent in profitability calculations
- Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Excellent integration, implementation and management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of computers necessary to operate effectively with company systems and programs
