About the role
- Lead, plan, develop, organize, and monitor national transportation and logistics
- Develop a national transportation strategy that aligns with Cencora’s objectives
- Evaluate and compare existing transportation-related expenses
- Responsible for developing logistic strategies for market conditions
- Manage corporate relationships with carrier partners
- Set clear expectations and drive performance excellence
- Cultivate a highly engaged team environment
- Develop alternate delivery logistics options to meet customer expectations
- Provide monthly expense estimates
- Lead in the negotiation of carrier agreements
- Analyze and develop alternative delivery options
- Reviews performance metrics to identify action plans for improvement
- Collaborate with other business leaders on strategic initiatives
- Work with Transportation Compliance Manager for DOT and Hazardous Materials regulations compliance
Requirements
- Typically a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Two or more years of transportation/distribution/logistics experience
- Preference in pharmaceutical/veterinary industry
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate sound administrative and organizational skills
- Well-developed management skills
- Mathematics skills to resolve practical problems
