About the role

  • Support Cencora's MWI Animal Health veterinary and livestock production solutions
  • Remote role in Kansas and Colorado traveling to customer sites in NW Kansas and Eastern Colorado
  • On-site installation, configuration and maintaining of computer systems and network infrastructures in cattle feeding and dairy operations
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and support to customers and other departments within Micro Technologies/MWI
  • Perform computer hardware installation, training, maintenance, diagnostics & replacement
  • Provide virus removal and basic OS troubleshooting
  • Climb grain legs and perform networking cable runs
  • Cover local day travel, occasional long distance overnight travel, and rotating weekend on-call schedule
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • On-site installation, configuration and maintenance of computer systems, computers, software & network infrastructures
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, decision-making skills
  • Communicate directly with customers
  • Computer hardware installation, training, maintenance, diagnostics & replacement of Servers, Computers, Switches, Modems, Routers, Wired & Wireless Infrastructure Hardware
  • Experience in virus removal
  • Available for local day travel; occasional long distance overnight travel
  • Available to cover rotating weekend On-Call schedule
  • Ability to climb grain legs and similar structures
  • Ability to do coaxial and networking cable runs
  • Strong network experience preferred
  • Basic OS troubleshooting (preferred) and some basic knowledge of Linux preferred but not required
  • Experienced in Windows XP, Vista 7 & 8 troubleshooting
  • Experience supporting 1 to 20 computers/workstations
  • Fully qualified to perform technical tasks listed
  • Motivated, reliable, trustworthy
  • Motivated to learn and adapt
  • Eligible to drive a DOT certified vehicle (CDL not required)
  • Ability to maintain a DOT log book
  • Good driving record to pass MVR: no more than 3 moving violations/accidents in past 3 years; no more than 2 in past year; no major convictions in last 5 years
