About the role
- Lead a team of Scientific Liaisons delivering scientific information to specialty practices and maintaining relationships with practice leaders
- Develop annual strategy, quarterly/annual goals, and methodology to align IntrinsiQ and biopharma partner objectives
- Direct team in scientific exchange, education, and facilitation of clinical trial efforts in a compliant manner
- Develop and maintain scientific, clinical and therapeutic expertise (oncology and other specialties)
- Ensure IntrinsiQ differentiation through innovative initiatives, coordinated strategy, and scientific communications
- Provide scientific support for internal colleagues and represent company at scientific meetings
- Communicate team role/objectives internally and lead/participate in special project teams when necessary
Requirements
- BA/BS, advanced degree in healthcare related field preferred
- At least 6 years of hands-on experience working as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Diagnostic Liaison (DL), or Outcomes Liaison (OL) or related role in a similar industry or in the biopharma industry preferred
- At least 3 years of management experience overseeing a team of MSLs, DLs and/or OLs or other similar field-based team
- Preferred oncology expert level knowledge and recent experience
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise with precision medicine testing and clinical research
- Documented base of strong physician/HCP relationships nationally
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain credible and scientific relationships
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team of individuals all located remotely
- Demonstrated leadership skills in strategy, project management, operational capacity, HR requirements
- Knowledge of PhRMA, OIG and other guidelines relating to compliant medical communications
- Demonstrated expertise in ability to synthesize and communicate medical information clearly
- Understanding of the area of Medical Affairs within biopharma industry
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; senior management presentation skills
- Ability to travel - approximately 50%
