About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the day-to-day management of Recess' organic social channels, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, Reddit, Threads, and emerging platforms
  • Create and publish engaging content daily, maintaining a consistent and recognizable brand voice
  • Develop recurring content series while identifying opportunities to participate in timely trends and conversations
  • Capture, edit, and publish short-form video and social-first content
  • Build meaningful relationships with our community by actively responding to comments, messages, and conversations
  • Celebrate customers, providers, and partners through engaging community-focused content
  • Help create a social presence that feels personal, approachable, and genuinely fun
  • Identify and manage partnerships with creators, parent influencers and complementary brands
  • Coordinate collaborations that increase awareness, engagement, and community reach
  • Continuously explore new opportunities to grow our audience organically
  • Monitor social trends, platform updates, and emerging content formats
  • Bring fresh ideas to the table every week and move quickly from concept to execution
  • Run experiments across content formats, messaging, posting cadence, and channels to uncover new opportunities for growth
  • Track and report on key social performance metrics

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2–5 years of experience creating content, managing social media, or growing online communities
  • Exceptional instincts for what performs well on social media
  • Understands parents and family audiences or is excited to immerse themselves in learning everything about them
  • Writes with personality and knows how to adapt content across platforms
  • Can create simple graphics and edit short-form videos
  • Thrives in fast-moving, startup environments
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple content streams simultaneously
  • Loves testing ideas and isn't afraid to fail quickly
  • Pays attention to the data without letting it limit creativity
  • Proactive, resourceful, and constantly looking for the next opportunity
