Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Licensed Title Insurance agent five years prior real estate and or title insurance experience: ability to review and understand real estate contracts, title commitments and closing documents
  • Advanced knowledge of the entire title process from beginning to end
  • Clean financial background for bank accounts
  • Manage escrow transactions from opening through funding, recording, and policy issuance.
  • Review title commitments and identify title requirements, defects, and curative items.
  • Prepare Closing Disclosures (CDs), ALTA Settlement Statements, HUDs (when applicable), and other closing documents.
  • Verify lender instructions and ensure all closing conditions have been satisfied.
  • Balance escrow accounts and settlement statements accurately.
  • Schedule and coordinate remote, mobile, attorney, and mail-away closings.
  • Review executed documents for completeness prior to funding.
  • Coordinate recording of deeds, mortgages, deeds of trust, satisfactions, and other legal documents.
