About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans.
- Monitor residents' nutritional status and provide follow-up recommendations as appropriate.
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to residents, caregivers, and staff.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident health and wellness.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to promote optimal nutrition outcomes.
- Review menus and provide recommendations to ensure nutritional adequacy and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct kitchen sanitation reviews and provide recommendations for improvement as needed.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation.
- Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned and within the Registered Dietitian scope of practice.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program.
- Registered Dietitian credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in clinical nutrition assessment and documentation.
- Familiarity with state survey processes and nutrition care regulations is preferred.
