About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide vital nutritional care through monthly on-site visits
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance nutrition care services and resident outcomes
- Review and approve menu on a semi-annual basis to ensure it meets USDA guidelines
- Conduct monthly kitchen sanitation audits, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions
- Identify high-risk residents for periodic nutritional assessments
- Adheres to all facility policy and procedure
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program
- Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Current state licensure/certification (if mandated by the state)
- Minimum of 1 year clinical experience (preferred)
- Experience with reviewing menus for facilities
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Proficiency in providing general nutrition
- Familiarity with state survey processes and adhering to nutrition care regulations
