About the role
- Mid-level User Experience (UX) Researcher creating innovative products that deliver lasting value to young people and educators worldwide
- Plan, design, and conduct both formative and evaluative research, engaging directly with educators and young people
- Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to ensure research informs product design and development decisions
- Plan and conduct qualitative moderated interviews, unmoderated research, desk research, and quantitative data analysis (site analytics)
- Contribute to creation and ongoing development of user personas and archetypes
- Advocate for a user-centred approach and share evidence and insight throughout the design process
- Clearly communicate research findings via reports, presentations, and practical examples
- Share knowledge and promote best practice in user experience research across the Digital Products team
- Agile, collaborative digital team based in Cambridge and working remotely across the UK; tools include Figma, monday.com, and Slack
- Raspberry Pi Foundation: independent charity enabling young people to realise their potential through computing and digital technologies
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience of working as a professional digital User Experience Researcher
- Understanding of best practice in qualitative and quantitative research, with the ability to synthesise findings into clear, actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills, particularly the ability to share findings in ways that are engaging and accessible to different audiences
- Understanding of product design processes and how research can best support decision making at different stages
- Experience of, or strong interest in, carrying out research with young people as participants
- Experience of working collaboratively with Product Designers, Software Engineers, Product Managers, and other colleagues in a cross-functional team
- Experience of developing user personas and other artefacts that help teams design with users in mind
- Familiarity with using analytics tools to complement user research
- Interest in education and in creating engaging experiences for young people
- Eligible to work in the UK
