About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the planning and implementation of supply and drainage projects.
  • Prepare design and construction drawings for pipelines (water, wastewater, district heating, gas, power corridors), including longitudinal and cross sections.
  • Perform hydraulic and technical calculations; develop pipe network and connection concepts.
  • Support the preparation of specifications, cost estimates and tender documents.
  • Coordinate with clients, utilities and authorities.
  • Conduct quality checks of planning documents and ensure compliance with technical standards and requirements.
  • Support construction supervision and participate in site meetings.
  • Document and maintain project data; contribute to BIM/GIS integrations.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree (BSc, MSc, University of Applied Sciences) or comparable qualification in civil engineering, utility/energy supply engineering, environmental engineering or a related field.
  • Graduates and career starters with strong interest and initial practical experience are welcome.
  • 0–4 years of professional experience in utility network planning or related areas.
  • Experience with CAD/GIS software (e.g. AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, ArcGIS) and basic experience with calculation tools.
  • Basic knowledge of relevant standards (e.g. DIN, DWA).
  • Good MS Office skills.
  • Team player with a willingness to learn and the ability to work independently.
  • Analytical thinking, technical affinity and attention to detail.
  • Very good communication skills in German and English (written and spoken).
  • Willingness to visit construction sites and travel occasionally.
