About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide strategic and hands-on safety leadership for all EPCM projects across North America
Focus on programmatic integration and management of Ramboll H&S programs across multiple concurrent EPCM projects
Shape the overall business wide safety culture
Drive contractor alignment
Serve as a trusted advisor to Project Directors and EPCM leadership
Develop and implement a programmatic approach to project-specific HSE strategies, plans, and procedures
Serve as primary HSE advisor to Project Directors and EPCM leadership teams
Drive adoption of Ramboll’s Caring Together HSS program across engineering, procurement, and construction phases
Provide strategic guidance to EPCM and HSE leadership during proposals and contract negotiations
Define HSE organization structures that are scalable
Clarify roles, responsibilities, interfaces, and governance models required for integrated EPCM safety programs
Coordinate HSE expectations and performance across multiple contractors and subcontractors
Direct hazard identification, high-risk work reviews, and CHAs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field
10+ years of progressive on-site HSE leadership experience with substantial large-scale EPC/EPCM project exposure
Strong background supporting multi-contractor, high-risk industrial construction environments
Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority
Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred: Professional certifications (CSP, CMIOSH, NEBOSH, CRSP, or equivalent)
Experience in energy, mining, chemicals, industrial manufacturing, or large-scale infrastructure
Experience supporting owner’s EPCM models across multiple concurrent projects
International or remote project experience.
