About the role

Responsible for setting up networking connections between Azure and an on prem environment and also to the AWS cloud
Containerization, automation and scripting of infrastructure as code, configuration and integration of services, monitoring, and stability of the management infrastructure
Develops hardened machine images (e.g. Azure VM), ensures STIG compliance, and custom services to facilitate security inheritance
Plans and leads major technology assignments; functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments and may supervise others
Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success
Collaborate within a software consultancy building cloud-native solutions for startups, enterprises, and the public sector

Active Top Secret (SCI Eligible) clearance
7 years software development experience building software solutions using Azure in a secure environment (Python / Bash preferred)
6 months provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of software and infrastructure-as-code in a DevSecOps and continuous delivery environment using automation and tools such as terraform
2+ years working with Platform as a Service technologies such as Kubernetes
1+ year deploying and working with Azure Landing Zones, implementing and developing Azure policies, command-line interfaces, network technologies including DNS, load balancing, and TLS
Operating with AWS
Compliance with DoDD 8570.01-M IA certifications; IAT Level II baseline and computing environment certifications such as Security + and a cloud service provider certification
Must be located within a 120-mile radius of Charlottesville, VA and able to work hybrid 4–6 times per month
Nice to have: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or 6 years of experience implementing IT systems as substitute; Updated Azure / AWS Cert; AWS Direct Connect; AWS Networking
