About the role

  • Set up networking connections between Azure, on-prem environments, and AWS
  • Containerization, automation, and scripting of infrastructure-as-code; configuration and integration of services
  • Monitor and ensure stability of the management infrastructure
  • Develop hardened machine images (e.g., Azure VM) and ensure STIG compliance
  • Implement custom services to facilitate security inheritance
  • Plan and lead major technology assignments; function as technical expert and may supervise others
  • Work in a DevSecOps continuous delivery environment and support CI/CD pipelines

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret (SCI Eligible) clearance
  • Must be located within a 120-mile radius of Charlottesville, VA; Hybrid 4 – 6 times per month
  • 7 years software development experience building software solutions using Azure in a secure environment (Python / Bash preferred)
  • 6 months provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of software and infrastructure-as-code in a DevSecOps and continuous delivery environment using automation and tools such as terraform
  • 2+ years working with Platform as a Service technologies such as Kubernetes
  • 1+ year deploying and working with Azure Landing Zones, implementing and developing Azure policies, command-line interfaces, network technologies including DNS, load balancing, and TLS
  • Experience operating with AWS
  • Compliance with DoDD 8570.01-M IA certifications; IAT Level II baseline and computing environment certifications such as Security+ and a cloud service provider certification
  • Nice to have: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (or 6 years experience implementing IT systems may substitute)
  • Nice to have: Updated Azure / AWS Cert; AWS Direct Connect; AWS Networking
